Torvin

Torvin was the East Mine's foreman, an older miner responsible for keeping Kaldrek's principal source of work running. He hired the party to inspect the lower shaft after finding marked iron husks there, examining their tag but unable to place its symbol. He paid forty gold with room and board for the initial work, then offered sixty gold more to learn who had cut a hidden wall in the depths and why. He directed the party toward Warden's Watch as the most likely source of answers about the tag and drew their route through Grayspin Pass before they accepted his offer. After Hollowpeak opened, he evacuated most of Kaldrek, led nineteen miners in its defense, and survived a crushing injury that ended his work in the mine.
